Dr Aretoulaki has been working in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and Connectionism for the past 35 years: Natural Language Processing (NLP), Natural Language Understanding (NLU), Neural Networks (ANNs), Machine Translation (MT), Text Summarisation, Speech Recognition (ASR), Voice User Interface (VUI) System Design and Conversational Experience and Service Design. She has focused on designing, building, testing, optimizing and customizing natural language conversational human-machine interfaces: from Contact Center IVRs that understand spontaneous speech, AI Voicebots, AI Chatbots, to Voice Assistants and multimodal Digital Assistants in several languages for large Enterprises across verticals.
